Why crypto?

CouplesBlend takes USDC on the Solana network. We don't take cards. Here is why, what to watch for, and how to pay, step by step.

Why we use USDC

• Nothing from us on your card statement. We never charge a card, so "CouplesBlend" never shows up on one. If you buy USDC at an exchange, your bank shows the exchange's name.
• We never hold your card number. There is no card to leak, and no plan renews by itself.
• No card company decides. Card companies can refuse or drop lifestyle sites. Paying directly keeps the site in the hands of its members.
• It stays yours to use. USDC in your own wallet isn't only for us. You can send it, spend it, swap it for other coins or cash it out. Learning this once opens up the rest of crypto.
• It tracks the US dollar. USDC is a stablecoin from Circle, made to stay at about one dollar. You don't need to watch a price.
• It is quick. A Solana transfer usually lands in seconds, and the network fee is usually a fraction of a cent.

What crypto does not do

• It isn't invisible. Exchanges check your ID and keep your history. Solana is public: anyone with your wallet address can see the amount and the time.
• You can't reverse a payment. Check everything before you send.
• USDC isn't a bank deposit. It has no FDIC insurance, and a stablecoin can lose its link to the dollar.
• Taxes can apply. Keep your records, and ask a tax professional.

One rule first

Don't send from Kraken straight to CouplesBlend. Kraken's rules ban sending to a wallet you don't own or control, so it could reject the transfer or act on your account. So you move USDC to your own wallet first, then pay from there. It adds one step, and your money stays under your control.

The path: Kraken → your Phantom wallet → CouplesBlend.

Do Parts 1 to 4 before you start an order. Your order lasts 24 hours, and Kraken can hold new money for longer than that.

Part 1: Open a Kraken account

Kraken doesn't serve New York or Maine. If you live there, use another exchange that lets you send to your own wallet.

1. Go to kraken.com. Check the address before you type anything.
2. Sign up with your email and a strong password you use nowhere else.
3. Turn on two-step sign-in with an authenticator app.
4. Finish the identity check. Kraken asks for your details and a photo ID. We never see this.

Part 2: Buy USDC and a little SOL

5. Add money to Kraken from your bank, or use a card if Kraken offers one to you.
6. Buy USDC. Buy your plan price plus a few dollars, to cover Kraken's withdrawal fee and the small extra digits on your order.
7. Buy a little SOL, about 0.02. Solana charges its network fee in SOL, so USDC alone can't move.
8. Wait for any hold to end. Kraken holds money from ACH and card buys for 72 hours, and ACH deposits through Plaid for 7 days. You can't send until the hold ends.

Part 3: Set up your Phantom wallet

9. Get Phantom only from phantom.com, as a browser extension or phone app. Fake wallet apps exist.
10. Create a new wallet.
11. If Phantom shows a Secret Recovery Phrase, write it on paper and keep it safe. Never type it into a website or share it with anyone. CouplesBlend, Kraken and Phantom will never ask for it.
12. In Phantom, press Receive, pick Solana and copy your address.

Part 4: Move your coins to Phantom

13. In Kraken, open Portfolio, then press Withdraw.
14. Pick SOL first. It makes a small, cheap first test.
15. Pick the Solana network. The wrong network can lose your coins for good.
16. Paste your Phantom address. Check that the first 6 and last 6 characters match.
17. Enter the amount and confirm. Kraken may ask for your two-step code. Kraken also charges a small withdrawal fee.
18. Wait for the SOL to show in Phantom. It usually takes minutes. You can follow it in Kraken's Activity tab.
19. Do the same for your USDC, on the Solana network.

Part 5: Pay CouplesBlend from Phantom

20. Open Membership and pick your plan. Your order page shows an exact amount, with small extra digits that tell us the payment is yours.
21. In Phantom, press Send and pick USDC. On a phone you can scan the code on your order page, which fills in the details.
22. Paste our address from your order page. It must match this one:

23. Enter the exact amount from your order page, every digit.
24. Check that the coin is USDC and the network is Solana. Then send.
25. Go back to your order page and press "I paid. Check now." Your plan starts when we see the payment.

If something goes wrong

• Sent the wrong amount? Your order page lets you send us the Transaction ID from Phantom, and we check it by hand.
• Stuck at any step? Email support@couplesblend.com. We'll never ask for your recovery phrase or password.

We have no tie to Kraken, Phantom or Circle, and we earn nothing if you use them. Other exchanges and wallets work too.
